Invisalign Review: Why It Is So Important To Brush And Floss After Every Meal

I Think I Have 3 Cavities…

Bad Invisalign Review… Yep, 3 cavities! I havent had a cavity in 5 years and within my first month with Invisalign, I counted 3 on my bottom row. I’m no dentist or ortho, but the are tiny black dots on the bottom row of my molars. They wont brush away and they look like cavities.

My Invisalign Review – I’m Not Happy

If I have 3 cavities in my first month with Invisalign, how many will I have next month? Or the month after that? and so on? I’ve been brushing and flossing like crazy but here’s a few thinks that might’ve contributed to the problem.

I went on a trip and after a few meals put my retainer back in after swishing water and brushed approximately an hour after eating.
I drank diet soda with my retainers in
I didn’t focus entirely on brushing my retainer as much as I should’ve
This sucks! I don’t have the money to pay for 3 cavities to be filled right now ($300). How will this affect my Invisalign retainers and how they fit in my mouth? Ahh!! It just sets me back in a ton of ways.

It just really sucks because so many on my friends that have had the treatment seem to put their Invisalign trays in and take them out haphazardly to the point where it seems that it doesn’t even matter if they brush or not, their teeth are getting straightened and their not getting any cavities. This is a huge scare! My dentist told me that I would have to brush and floss alot but I never really thought of the reprecussions of not brushing or flossing correctly. I’m not happy about this.

Of course it doesn’t help that right afterwards (after realizing that I may have a few cavities) I went online and started “googling” about it and of course I started to hear all the horror stories. People writing their own Invisalign Review, talking about getting cavities, having their cavities progress into root canals, and then their root canals causing their faces to eventually fall off. Really Google?! This is crazy, I think I’m done with googleing health problems and building my own sense of me being a hypochondriac.

I have an appointment with my dentist on Tuesday morning. Wish me luck! I’ll post the results in my next Invisalign Review where I learn the importance to brush and floss after every meal.

Invisalign Review – Top 3 Reasons Why Not To Be Afraid Of Getting Invisalign Attachments

It seems like every Invisalign Review out there talks about people keep wanting to know about the Invisalign Attachments or Invisalign Buttons. They’re really not that bad! I’ll be the first to admit, at first, I was extremely reluctant to get these little tooth enamel colored attachments or buttons on my teeth. However after having Invisalign for over a month, I’ve realized that the Invisalign Attachments are the biggest overrated part of the treatment. My Invisalign Review so far has been pretty good. No one notices them or mine atleast – and I have 7 Invisalign Attachments and one attachment resides on an upper front tooth.

Reason 1 : Invisalign Attachments (Invisalign Buttons) aren’t noticeable

These attachments are made to blend in with your teeth. Your dentist or ortho went to dental school for this reason. He’s a professional and can make it blend in with your tooth color. Just make sure you keep your teeth as white as possible. I was really surprised how well my dentist blended my Invisalign Attachments with the color of my teeth. I mean you cannot tell the Invisalign Attachment from my teeth at all! It’s really amazing what they can do with these things. I’m just so glad that I have these small tooth colored Invisalign Attachments on my teeth and not huge metal clunking braces.

Reason 2: It doesn’t hurt when they are attached to your teeth

I was scared about this part. It was a little bit uncomfortable but still not bad. I think I was just apprehensive to see what they looked like on my teeth. My overall Invisalign Review of the process to put the attachments on my teeth was not that bad at all.

Reason 3: The Invisalign Attachments (Invisalign Buttons) DO NOT hurt the inside of your mouth.

When you leave the dentist or ortho office for the first time after getting them, you will have your Invisalign retainers in so you won’t really notice but the first time that you feel them inside your mouth, they will feel sharp and uncomfortable. This soon goes away within a few days. Your tongue and rest of your mouth gets used to the Invisalign Attachments and you will soon forget about them and your Invisalign Review and experience won’t be all that bad.

And finally the part of my Invisalign Review to make you feel better…

Invisalign Review – My Teeth 2/26

I planned on putting in my new Invisalign retainer (number 3/26) last night before bed but forgot. I ended up putting it in this morning.

My Invisalign Review – I noticed alot of pressure but just when I put in retainer 2, I’m used to it now. If the pressures too much too handle (it was only bad the first day), I’ll take an Advil until it goes away.

So far with my Invisalign Review, it looks like things are going good! I’m totally used to it by now. I’m not as self-concious as I was at first with the shiny Invisalign retainers in my mouth, Nobody can notice it, and I haven’t noticed any visual differences but hopefully my teeth are moving the right way. Here’s my teeth at the end of Invisalign retainer 2 of 26
